It had been three days since Andrea awoke. She was still weak and fragile, but she was alert and she could speak. Eckhart was never one to show his emotions, but he was thrilled and relieved that Andrea had awakened. But she didn't quite awaken with optimism. Adam had been there taking care of Andrea and making sure she was fine. It wasn't clear whether Andrea was happy Adam was there or not. Varady had been there to speak with her. Privately, Varady told Andrea that Eckhart knew about the things she had kept. He didn't mean to pry. That wasn't the intent. Just that Eckhart needed to oversee some things. The legal side of things. Andrea didn't say a word. Varady worried. Do you want to talk to Eckhart? Varady asked. Andrea said no. But you really need to talk things through. Not all at once. Varady suggested. Andrea said a firm no. She even said she didn't want to see him. Not yet, anyway. Varady then told Andrea that Eckhart had been sitting here with her day and night. He hardly slept. It wasn't that she wasn't grateful and knew his concern was genuine. She just couldn't see him now. Don't push it. Varady said no more.
