Talk about starting the New Year with a bang! Now that One Life To Live's Todd has tracked Marcie and his stolen son Tommy down in Texas, it only follows that the Lone Star State is in for a Llanview-sized showdown. But even we were shocked to hear that this week's long-awaited face-off between OLTL's resident antihero and the cutie-turned-kidnapper would end in gunplay. Apparently these two haven't resolved to make nice for the kid's sake.

Two big, long-bubbling plots collide this week on One Life to Live. Crazed mom Marcie (Kathy Brier), who's been running from the law since November, will come face-to-face with fellow Llanview-ite Viki (six-time Emmy winner Erika Slezak) at the Bon-Jour diner in Paris, Texas. THat's where ritzy, powerful Viki has secretly worked for months in order to get away from her high-pressure life back home. Marcie gets desperate and holds Viki hostage and---before you can say "Hold the mayo!"---the incident hits national TV and all of Viki's friends and family finally learn the truth about her. That's not the worst of it: During the crisis, Viki starts showing signs of a heart attack.

Did One Life to Live really bring back Allison Perkins to kill her off before she could spill her shocking secret about a Buchanan family skeleton? That's the way it looks now that the madcap nutjob---played by Barbara Garrick---is near death in the ICU. But here's the good news: Allison wakes up from her coma, and that means her hot scoop can still be revealed. Now the bad news: ABC says it'll have to wait until late April or May---that's the earliest head writer Ron Carlivati, who was on strike for three months, can get his material back on the air. Word is, Allison's secret will change the show forever and was deemed too important to be left in the hands of those dreaded fill-in writers.
