Marzena Lex walked down the dark alleyway. The light from the nearby street casting eerie shadows. Her large brown eyes surveyed the surrounding area, aware of every little detail. Long wavy brown hair was secured in a low ponytail, to keep it out of her way should she get into a fight. The southern night was warm prompting her cream t-shirt and light navy pants.
She paused near a few trash cans and looked around. This was the moment of extreme caution, no one could see her. Reaching behind the one trash can, she pushed a camouflaged button. Suddenly the brick wall in front of her slid up, revealing a lit stairway. As she crossed through, the wall slid back in place leaving no trace of its existence.
Making her way down the stairs she pulled the navy scrunchie from her hair and put it over her wrist. With a shake of her head, her hair spread out and fell more evenly around her face and shoulders. At the bottom of the staircase was a metal door with no markings and no handle. Next to it on the left lay a six inch by six inch raised square that glowed green. Placing her hand on it, a bright light scanned her. The door suddenly opened, permitting her entry.
Through the door was the catwalk of headquarters. This mezzanine level circled the large room beneath her. Several doors went off each side, which housed those who made headquarters their home, and in the back was a large training platform.
The stairs in front of her led down to the main floor where most would pass. The back left corner contained their medical ward. The right corner was lined with
